Action off the pitch
It's mid June, and County have the semblance of a decent 5 a-side team signed up.
Still a few weeks for Alan Lord to put together a promotion winning outfit, almost out of thin air. Nothing to worry about. Really.
Matters off the pitch, however, undertaken by County fans do continue to build.
Help the Hatters and Vital County's own Ian Brown writes.
Just a couple of reminders for you.
Firstly tomorrow night , Tuesday June 17, at 18.30, we have the Help the Hatters Edgeley Park Working Party 5 of the current close season.
Lots was done last week due to 22 supporters turning up and doing the biz.
We will continue where we left off tomorrow- finishing the Danny Bergara Stand before moving on ( painting largely).
We need the same, or better numbers though, so I hope you will be able to join us. If the corridor at the Players Entrance is being painted please go to the side entrance at the Railway End for admittance.
Please note that the Supporters Cooperative has agreed to donate a number of tickets for this Saturday`s Comedy Night at Edgeley Park.
So.....EVERYONE who turns out for the Working Party and puts in a 18.30 to 21.00 shift ,will get a free ticket, and should they want a second for a partner, they can purchase this for just £10.
UPDATE - Please be advised that the Car Boot Sale arranged for this coming Sunday 22 June, has been cancelled.
So it is reassuring to see that the real driving force of our club, the fans, are still battling away to improve our lot.
What with some shareholders leaving, and others apparently content with a club that stops losing money but merely treads water, it looks more and more that it is down to US as fans to rebuild the club.
On that score may I remind readers that by browsing this site and Ian Brown's excellent http://hedgegrower.blogspot.com site you are raising money to help fellow hatters help the club.
Have a look at Ian's article about a fans' fund and leave comments below.
