County's Kit. You like?

County's Kit. You like?

By all accounts Saturday's kit launch down at EP was quite a decent event. A bit of music, some entertainment for the kids and those three new kits.

If you have not seen them then the home and away kit can be seen here

Our third kit can be seen here

Now, I am not one of those who are thrown into the depths of despair if the royal blue is one shade too light, or if the piping on the arms is 3mm too thick but the home top I think is 'OK'.

I'd prefer if we had kept the white bar across the chest which we had a few years ago. That looked smart and was a little bit different. So the home top gets a 6/10 for me.

The away kit (and I bet we wear the third kit more on our travels) though is more interesting. A definite retro attempt, back to those late 70's (?) days and although not perfect I'd give that a 7/10.

The third kit...well. It certainly catches the eye. Not fussed one way or the other.

So overall, not too bad and it seems that the call for a retro look (in some quarters of the fanbase) has been heeded in part by the club?

(for scholars of County kits down the ages please see here and if you have a strong stomach please take a peek at 1913-14. Hmmm.....)

Now, you may be wondering whether news is thin on the ground. I hope to rectify this with an announcement on Friday which should please readers of this site.

In the meantime there is the small matter of this season fixtures which are out tomorrow at 11 a.m.

Let's hope for the remainder of the squad to be signed up p.d.q !

Not fussed again. As long as the colours white and blue the only thing that matters is getting out of this bloody level of football.
