Bogie CAN take us forward

Bogie CAN take us forward

We asked: 'Could Ian Bogie do a James Gannon... save us and take us back into the Football League'

72% of you said Yes and 28% you said No.

I must say Bogie has impressed me with his radio interviews. He seems to have plugged himself right into the club and empathises with the fans.

He has said some pretty nice things about our travelling support as well, all deserved too.

Some decent quotes too here when he describes last season players as ' a right shower of s***'.

Sorry. No.

What he actually said was '"I`ve said on a few occasions since I came to the club that Stockport County have been languishing in the lower reaches for too long because the players aren`t good enough.'

So he is under no illusions. I think we can expect an almighty turn over in playing staff over the summer.

I have trawled around some of the non-league forums and only found one or two posts which were less than complimentary about Bogie's managerial career. Both posts were along the lines of 'he did it at Gateshead only because he had the money'.

I'm going to discount that.

In Bogie I trust. And of course Alan Lord. This is very much a dynamic duo in my book.

I am not expecting automatic promotion this coming season but I do expect us to be in and around the top 5. Football league in 5 years?

Sound like a plan?

I have every confidence in the Bogie/Lord management team...I am buying a season ticket and we will be promoted at the first attempt...without doubt!!!

I think we need a period of stability. We will win more than we lose and I pray we do go up. Not sure if it is top 1 and pay-offs or how many go up? Must look that up. Super 10 at best for me though.

Why has there been no public comment, at this awful but historic moment, from the real power at County. our landlord Brian Kennedy?

Can't see much evidence that Bogie could take the club above the BSP level, so as a long term strategy I would have preferred to see Jim Gannon back.

I'm with you on this one edgeley. Already got our season ticks. Back up first attempt. Bit disappointed we had to go part time. But am looking forward to a successful season.
