Progress on one Stockport County Supporters' Group

Thank you for giving your details to the recent Supporters` survey.
The fact that you have registered your interest of a single united supporters group shows that you are not prepared to let the status quo remain.

Last Saturday was one of the most painful days in this club`s history and the frustrations of all present were - and remain - evident. We must now more than ever pull together in solidarity.

What we can`t allow to go unnoticed is that this was totally avoidable. As fans we must endure yet another relegation without having done anything to deserve it. It is our duty as supporters to ask the right questions and hold those in charge of the club respectfully to account.

It is our belief as fans and leaders of existing supporters clubs that our collective interests are best served if we unite. This would give us the greatest possible capacity to instigate a change in the way our club performs and communicates to the community it belongs to.

Following two productive meetings we would like to tell you that we are making progress on this.

There are a number of formalities which will be resolved by some of the groups to allow us to move forward together at the same pace and with the same clear objectives in mind. This is an on-going and constructive process.

We will always have the best interests of this club at heart will take a democratic lead from the wider fan base. We aim to be dedicated to the wellbeing of the club regardless of the level it is competing at and hope to achieve a positive relationship with those running the club, whoever they may be.

Contact us via email (onevoicescfc@gmail.com) or via our twitter account. (@onevoicescfc) and let us know the following

Your thoughts or suggestion of how you want your supporters club to work what you think should be our main priorities?
The long-term aims you want to see us achieve
If you have any skills you feel may be useful (Web design, PR, finance, legal, volunteering, etc..)

Now is the time to realise that your loyalty can no longer be understated or taken for granted because without the fans, County would be nothing.

Well said Jack and well done! 100% right behind you on this. No ego's, no hidden agendas, just for the good of the football club!

We have to speak with one voice as it is the only way be might(am I being nave?) influence the decisions of the Board whose recent track record is abysmal.

As a supporters group there has got to be only one agenda and that is to do whatever it takes to get our club back into the Football League.

I also think after last week-end we have some massive bridges to build regarding the credibility of Stockport County off the pitch. The stories in main stream papers up here in the Highlands ie Telegraph, Mirror, Mail painted an abysmal picture of the County fanbase which are obviously read by common a garden football fans throughout the land who are now under the presumption that we are all thugs. I myself have had to listen to no end of jovial banter regarding last week-end but after a while it starts to wear a little thin. I feel that the club will sort out the penalties that will no doubt be handed down but this will do absolutely nothing to rebuild our reputation with Joe Public. We know that we are one of the best fan bases in the land, but, and it is a massive but, what do we do as fans to enhance our reputation outside Stockport?. The fight to regain respect has to start now.
