Transfer Deadline Day in the Blue Square Premier

Transfer Deadline Day - the day Sky Sports News have made a big day by sending reporters to training grounds, motorway junctions and interviewing players and managers out of their car windows.

That's all the glitz and the glamour of the Premiership, but what do we get in the Blue Square Premier?

Searching your club name on Twitter to see if anybody has mentioned it, refreshing Newsnow every five minutes just incase anything pops up and, of course, refreshing your official club website.

Rumours have been rife about movement of players out from Edgeley Park but nobody has mentioned much about bringing players in.

Danny Hattersley was linked to Macclesfield and Tranmere, though he took to Twitter last night to deny he was leaving Stockport County.

Danny Whitehead was linked with a move to Tranmere too, James Tunnicliffe to Rochdale and Ian Ormson a move to several clubs.

In realistic terms not much happens in terms of departures for Blue Square Premier clubs, I know the players aren't expecting anybody to leave and I also know that a few trialists have been training with the squad.

You can still sign players on free transfers & loans after today, so if your a Stockport County fan, I would expect a quiet day today.

However if we do sign anyone, be sure to check out the site first for the news!
