Away day win The Hatters

Starting XI: King, Halls, Newton (Eckersley), Tunnicliffe, Hattersley, Collins (Kenyon), Hobson (Rowe), Sheridan, Fagbola, Mainwaring, Turnbull.

Subs: Ormson, Kenyon, Meaney, Rowe, Eckersley.

It was unknown to The Hatters fans that Jim Gannon served a one game touchline ban ahead of their visit to Hereford meaning Alan lord took charge for the game against The Bulls.

County managed to carry on their run of four games unbeaten as Craig Hobson's double got all three points for The Hatters. Hobson who scored two scrappy gaols meant that the Hatters went home with all three points.

Marlon Jackson was injured early on for The Bulls and was replaced, after the sub things got worse for The Bulls as County went 1-0 up throught the services of Hobson who scored his first of two and his third in two games.

In the 41st minute County were given a corner, through some sloppy defending by Hereford Hobson managed his second for The Hatters and his second of the game, this time taking his tally up to four goals in two games.

HT: Hereford 0 County 2

County were put under the kish for the whole of the second half, as Hereford wanted to try and claw something back from the game. Lewis king made some great saves with County holding on.

The County defense suffered their only blow of the game as Hereford finally found a way through on 77 minutes when Marsh controlled a cross from Marley Watkins before steering his shot into the bottom corner of the goal. This goal came after Hattersley hit the bar for County and could have put his side 3-0 up.

Hereford were awarded a last minute Corner where Lewis king thumped the ball clear as The Hatters managed a well deserved away day win as the side move up the table.

Really important three points. If we can avoid defeat against Wrexham we have the chance to push on at home against Kidderminster and go to Lincoln and pinch a win, then its Barrow at home and the league table could be looking rosy.

PS You do have to register but its free - I watched the Cambridge game last season and apart from the odd "freeze" it is fine. 2-1 to County tomorrow - play offs by December!!!
